TPS Regent Park Skills Event
The LiUNA Local 183 Training Centre was proud to partner with Toronto Police Services for the Regent Park Skills Event on August 21 and 22. The event was held to encourage youth from the Regent Park community and surrounding areas, to consider a career in the construction industry. Our instructors were on site to provide hands on demonstrations to promote the skilled trades as well as our outreach coordinator and staff were present to answer questions about our various programs and training incentives. Toronto Chief of Police Mark Saunders joined International VP Joseph Mancinelli, LiUNA Local 183 Business Manager, LiUNA Ontario Provincial District Council Business Manager Jack Oliveira, LiUNA Local 183 Training Centre Executive Director Sandro Pinto and City Councillor for Regent Park Lucy Troisi to support this great initiative.
